Seafood @ Hai Boey, Teluk Kumbar .. Part 2

Fried chicken with sweet sauce. Cooking style like lemon chicken but it is not. Not too sure what sauce is it. I wasn't there when they ordered the dishes.

Tiger prawn freshly steamed. The prawn is very fresh. They are just swimming in the aquarium a moment ago.

Lum Kor or Shun Hok (Ikan Hantu) fish freshly steamed. This is the best dish served today. Fish flesh texture like cod fish but slighly softer. This fish doesn't comes cheap. It is RM13 per 100gram.

Seafood wont be complete without crabs to me. Here is the salted duck eggs cooked crabs. The crab is big. This dish cost RM76. Quite reasonable.

Seafood @ Hai Boey, Teluk Kumbar .. Part 1

Hai Boey (end of sea) seafood restaurant.

Quite a lot of people for a wednesday. Environment is cleaner.

The wave is higher and wilder than the other side of teluk kumbar (hou yau seafood place). Nice view though.

View of the restaurant from seaside.

Day & Nights @ QE II

Here is the day shot of a boat parked beside QE II. Photo shot with CPL.

Night shot of the same boat. It seems I didnt do well with night shots. There are plenty to learn about it.

Wedding Dinner @ QE II

My boss's wedding dinner held here. It is a buffet style dinner. Not sure whether normally QE II serves buffet (probably not). The food here is good. The environment is even better.

My plate for first round. There are fish, fried rice, spagetthi, mussels, small piece of lamb (I am not a fan of lamb) and potatoes.

My second round after finding out the best is olio olio spagetthi and mussels.

Fireworks shots @ Georgetown

Fireworks shots opposite clock tower. Over exposed. This is my first time shooting fireworks. Bear with my inability to capture the best.

Severals more shots.
Though not very good. But this is my best firework shot for today. But the picture still spoiled by the red fireball.

This is the last firework. It is bigger and higher than the rest. So the picture kinda clipped.

Street performance & Fireworks @ Georgetown

Han Chiang High School martial arts member performing with long knife with a lot of people watching.

The street performance includes dragon dance. I unable to get a nice shot on this as I am behind the crowd. I shoot this overhead using liveview.

Waited for an hour with tripod set. Finally I able to get some fireworks shots. Various shot of fireworks at the low area. It is exposed for too long. Should have gotten myself a wired remote release prior to this. With remote release, I can set to bulb mode.

Another tried shot. This is set to 4 seconds shutter release.

Various shots @ Georgetown, Penang

Boats parked along Chew Jetty.

Khoo Kongsi at night when litted up. Auto white balance on a tripod. It looks magnificient.

Same picture but set to daylight white balance to enhance the yellow glow from halogen/spot light. With this picture alone, I felt like gone back in time to Tang Dynasty.

Georgetown listed into UNESCO heritage list isn't about chinese buildings only. Here is an indian temple which on celebration as well.

Human Faces During Georgetown Heritage Declaration @ Georgetown

This small girl is closing her ears as the 24 rythmic drums are playing. She is very enthusiatic about the play earlier. Unable to capture the best moment when she clapped and jumping about the performance.

Another small girl looking at the street performance. She is sitting on her dad's shoulder as the crowd is large. I can't get a sweet spot either.

One of the many inteliers on community service. Good job.

He is one of the actor in the oldern days sketch. While he is awaiting for his turn, I photographed him. He looked over.

Georgetown Heritage Day @ Cheah Kongsi

Visited the Cheah Kongsi today in conjunction with Georgetown officially listed on Heritage List by UNESCO. In the picture is Cheah Kongsi's ancestor temple.

Cheah is known for its wealth tree (bao shu). Here is a picture of it.

A closer shot reviewed there are miniture idols under the tree.

A closer look on the minitures. The tree is real, the miniture isn't. :)

Renovation Update @ New Home

Kitchen's bar top is up. At least the structure of it.

Workers preparing the plaster ceiling. Will be done in 1-2 days.

The pipe is leaking! From the bottom of the tiles. Poor me. Luckily the developer is bearing the responsibility of repairing it. Thanks Palmex.
