Frog (paddy field chicken) @ Ah Nam Restaurant, Penang

I know this place thru What2See blog by CK Lam. Actually V is the one came across it first. V is a fan of frogs especially Kung Pou version. The main hall halogen lamp just fried and sparked few days ago. Short circuit at the transformer. Fortunately the shop owner is kind enough to repair and change the transformer for free. Nevertheless, we need to drive to town for the fix.

On the way back, I spotted the frog sign that I recognize from What2See. I told V about it and we U'turn back to this shop. It is located hmm... not sure what street is this... same road as Methodist Boys School. :) I guess visit What2See for the direction is better.

This shop only sells frogs and eels as main dish and fried eggs, oily vege as supplementry. So if you dont like frog, dont even enter. :)

You can serve with rice, porridge or even noodle.

Kung Pou frog in claypot. This is spicy. For me at least, for spicy eating person, shouldn't be a problem. This is medium pot which cost RM20, small pot only has 1 frog. Yeah.. frog is expensive. Consider it a delicacy.

Oily vege with Bak Hu as supplementary. Vege is good for you. It cost RM4. Cheap. Taste okay.

Fried eggs to go along with the frogs. We didnt order eel. Perhaps next round. Eggs cost RM3.

Birthday Dinner @ Soon Fatt Restaurant, Ipoh

After a long break from posting due to loaded with work, here I post again. Taped-out the design today!! :)

There is a relatively new seafood restaurant just opened in Jln Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh. It is near the Ipoh Utara PLUS highway exit. I went to this restaurant couple of weeks ago in conjunction with V's mom birthday.

As usual, we started the meal with four seasons. It consists of fried scallop, salad prawn, stir fried vege and yam with char siew.

Second dish is sharkfin with crabmeat. They really mix a lot of crab meat into this soup. But it is a little bit too much or the crab meat isn't fresh, I can't be sure. It tasted fishy so I need to add some black vinegar into it. Hou Yau's sharkfin soup seems nicer :)

Yam basket is our third dish. V's mom is a fan of yam basket. This tasted okay. Not much to comment about. However, I do like the raddish crafted rose.
Fourth dish is this fried chicken with a crispy chicken skin. The name is cantonese is prosperous chicken. Dip this chicken with sour plum powder then serve.

Chinese doesn't like 4, so we ordered a fifth dish which is the stir-fried wanton noodle. Apparently is the restaurant's famous dish, however tasted normal only. Maybe because we are full? Or we tasted something better?

Oversea Restaurant's wantan noodle taste nice... hahaha... but I believe the price differs too.

Chee Cheong Fun @ Central Kopitiam, Ipoh

Central Kopitiam is located near Hotel Excelsior, Ipoh. Opposite Cowan Street Nga Choy Kai shop. The iced coffee here has a rich Ipoh's white coffee flavour. It is as good as old town's.

The best food here to me is the chee cheong fun. It is different from those in Penang or in KL. This is plain chee cheong fun with mushroom+meat sauce. Best served which chillies.

This uncle here originally sells chee cheong fun in Canning Garden, Ipoh at night opposite the church. I am one of his loyal supporter whereby I go there very frequent till I shifted away from Canning Garden. The chee cheong fun also bring back the old memories of my nanny cycle me to this stall at night.

I liked this chee cheong fun a lot. But V seems dislike it. Give it a try, though you may like it or dislike it.

Still object photograph

Can't get the diamond to be sparkle enough. Maybe I need a bigger diamond as my object.

Two watches stacked up. Photographed in flash but low intensity to bring out the BVLGARI reflection on the paper.

Just a pen. Learning to photograph still objects.

Seaside photoshot @ Small fisherman village along road to Batu Maung

Just want to share some photoshots. But air is hazy these few days hence unable to capture crystal clear seaside view. Will retake some of the views here when the weather is better.

Dragon Boat Shots @ Dragon Boat Event, Teluk Bahang

Two teams rowing their dragon boat casually towards the starting point.

Same goes to this team. Rowing casually towards the starting point. Shot with Uncle Lim's 500mm reflex lens. I am standing very very far away from this boat. Mine is APS-C sensor, so this 500mm lens is equivalent to 750mm on 35mm standard.

Japan female team. They all looking this side is because their fans are cheering loud in this direction.

This is team on the race. I need to climb down drain, slide down slope and walk over rock to get this kind of picture. Basically get to the water level of the dam. Good experience :)

These are not my best pictures for this event as I am keeping some for company's photography "competition". I am not sure about the rules and regulation of the event yet so best is I don't post them.

Non-Dragon Boat Shots @ Dragon Boat Event, Teluk Bahang

Imagine that three of us actually walked over 200 fleet of stairs to reach the teluk bahang dam. Some of you might be asking why we didn't take the shuttle. The main reason is we thought we can do it easily and too eager to get some shots. Good exercise though, I am fully awake after this climb.

This dragon boat event participated by many countries. Such as India, Singapore, Canada, Japan etc.

This team CITY just finished rowing the dragon boat. Not too sure whether they won or lost. But they seems to be not sad.

This team is warming up themselves when we are walking towards the dam. They looks prepared.

New home lights up @ New Home

Finally the plaster ceiling is ready and with lights. The two ceiling fan doesn't match the contemporary looks that was set for the dining and living hall. But I am out of cash to change them anytime soon. So many items awaiting me to purchase.

Dining and living hall with lights on during day time. I kinda like the middle lamp. Wouldn't on all of them normally, probably just on four down lights at the corner. Electricity is expensive nowadays.

The middle lamp brought from Hup Soon lighting house opposite Mekio. The gold and silver balls can change to other design when bored. It is modular, can change to other colour balls or glass/crystal cube.
