Price mismatch (overcharged) @ Tesco

Yesterday, V and I went to Tesco to purchase some groceries and CNY items. To our surprise, there are a couple of items having price mismatch. Tesco is over-charging customer by display a cheaper price but charge a significant higher price at the cashier counter.

V somehow spotted the chocolate she purchased is priced at RM14.88 but being charged RM19.88. Since it is so expensive, we decided to return the item.

We went to the customer service counter for return of item and it is Tesco personel whom found out the price mismatch.

The young chap is helpful but we complained anyway. We get back our RM5 refund.

To our surprise, when we check thru the whole list, even our Shokubutsu refill pack were overcharged. It suppose to be RM5.95 but charged RM8.95 instead.

Since we bought 3 packs, we were returned RM9.

Tesco is doing a bad job on pricing, so fellow readers, please check your items purchased next time. It tends to overcharge.

If we didn't notice, Tesco has been earning RM5+RM9 = RM14 more from a poor guy like me.

Macro photography again @ Home

Good thing about macro photography is anything can be taken. It is just another perspective of everydays' items.

Playing with flash.

Close-up shot mania @ Home

Kinda like this dried rose. Photographed a couple of time. All close up are best viewed at full size. Click and view.

On the same branch, some were dried and some is still living. Somehow let me think of our society, some were dying/starving and yet some has surplus.

Money plant at home. Symbolize a new beginning.

Body soap bottle tip. A dash of green make this picture different. Actually it is shokubutsu and rejoice bottle. Hahaha.

Candle of aroma therapy.

My ring.
V's butterfly clip. Too close up, can see dust on the clip.

Hair pin with a hair dangling.

My pen from ELRVP celebration. Dont open full size for this. Can see the noise. :( Sony SLR for A300 is noisy.

Tap with dripping water.

Chinese End Year Lunch for Year 2008 @ Double Good, Penang

My boss has been very good and he personally treat us chinese end year lunch in Double Good Restaurant. There has been some org change in my team hence not too sure next year we will have this kind of treat or not.

Year 2008 has been a personal challenge for me. I start to make decision on some circuits design myself as I own non-core portions of the board. Well, there has been errors due to my inexperience but we are living over it. But that's not all, my lead DE left and I am then ascended to the lead role. While I am still inexperience on the design process stuff, here I am, leading some less senior DE to complete the board. Am I the blind leading the blind? Hope everything turns up well though, luckily we are blessed, no major issues turned up so far. God bless !!

I can write pages of my experience in 2008 but let's focus back to the lunch.

A visit to double good will be not complete without indonesian prawn in gravy. We had a good portion of it :)

Sea cucumber, mushroom, dried oyster in claypot. Another good dish in DG.

Seasonal fried vege with cuttlefish and shrimps. High cholesterol food must mix a little with vege for health reason.

Kerabu chicken (some sort like thai style). I personally prefer the three cup chicken which is also another signature dish in DG. But once a while switch to Kerabu chicken is nice too.

Venison in ginger and spring onion. Yes I purposely write it this way. Looking for venison is like looking for treasure in the bush. None the less, a nice dish.

Signature toufu. This dish is available in many restaurant but DG cooks it slightly different. Give it a try if you visit.

Dinner by V @ Home

It has been a long while since V cooked western style food at home. Here is the usual lamb shoulder with mashed potatoes. This round the veg is asparagus with carrot.

While mine is as usual the grilled salmon with teriyaki sauce. Yummy dinner. I has been craving for salmon :)

Tender Beef Burger @ Mos Burger, Taiwan

MOS burger is a famous burger chain in Japan. It has a lot of branch in Taiwan. This burger is recommended for burger lovers. It is famous for Honey Beef Burger. If you are visiting and see MOS burger restaurant, go ahead and try this.

Honey grilled beef burger with lettuce and generous portion of mayonnaise. Looks simple but delicious.

Very Good Satay @ JiDeShi, Relau (opposite PISA)

Ah'Basri satay located at JiDeShi (Remember to eat in mandarin) located along Jalan Tun Dr. Awang. It is opposite PISA. I think this food court sells dim sum in the morning.

There are lots of varieties of satay sold here. Chicken, Beef, Goat, Camel, Rabbit, Deer, Stomach?, Horse, Ostritch, Squid and Turkey satay can be found here.

For those whom can't read or speak Malay language, you can point at the banner. But these animals looks too cute to be eaten, right?

Chicken satay is what I ordered. I don't really enjoy exotic meats. Large and ultra soft. Very yummy. Expect to pay RM1 for each though, nice food doesn't comes cheap normally.

You should eat satay with its special made peanut sause with a dash of sambal (malay's chilli).

Under quality fireworks shot @ Sg. Ara

Taken some fireworks shot from my home during New Year celebration. Many fireworks location can be seen here. I think at least five of them. Only one is close to me.

So I have to use digital zoom plus my zoom lens to capture the pictures. Hence that's also the reason why the mm numbers doesn't match.

From my home I can see that the Equatorial's fireworks is the best. But it is a little far for me to capture.

Photoshots from Penang to Ipoh

Found this fern leaf in V's house. Hence I experimented with various photography techniques. Comment please.

Same fern photographed when attached to my car.

Fern. C and C please.

Ipoh old town. Dark clouds are forming. Raining soon.

Raining soon. Dark clouds forming in old town of Ipoh. Makes the town even moodier.

One of the back lane in B&W.

Silhouette of trees when sun is setting. Taken along the highway.

Beautiful rainbow when cruising along the highway. Hence I stopped and took some pictures. I am not the only one doing that though.

Nice rainbow. This is the first time I am capturing a rainbow.

Nice clear sky from my house in Penang. I like the city view here from the hill. Especially just after the rain and the air is clean. Seldom able to take this kind of clear picture nowadays. The air is always polluted.
