My "Christmas" Present

This year's "christmas" present is spectacular. V got me a Wii to go with our new LCD TV. The reason I said it is "christmas" present is because I already opened it prior to christmas. Well, let's keep the box under the tree.

I better think of a good gift for V. Initially Wii was my idea for christmas present. Due to cashflow problems, V bought it.

The Wii version V bought is Korean. This is the cheapest we can find.
As long as we can play the games we wanted. We get two controllers to play multiplayer games.

2 controllers and 2 nunchuk. Not sure why it is called nunchuk.
Play resident evil till hand also tired. :)

Great Meals @ The Loaf, Langkawi

The Loaf is a restaurant by Tun Dr. Mahathir. It is a bread shop with wonderful western/italian style meals. It is so good in Langkawi that made V and I to come here twice in our short trip. Read on.

The view of The Loaf at night from our table.

Patrons will be greeted with a cold refreshing towel. Nice move.

Then you will get free bread with butter. The bread taste nicer than those in delifrance.

While enjoying the bread, take a look at the yatch docked at the marina.

Here comes my drink. The loaf latte. When it is served, the coffee comes in ice cubes form. Then poured hot milk into the glass to form this latte. Get this speciality when you come here.

Since there is buy one free one promotion, we tends to order two appetizer and two main course. Here is the chicken and asparagus soup in a bread bowl. The bread not bad, soup is just so-so.

V ordered this scallop and smoked salmon appetizer. She said the smoked salmon is very tasty.

Smoked salmon closed shot.

Wow.. such a big piece of salmon.

V's beef burger.

Spagetthi Alfredo with a slice of garlic bread. Second to Uno. But I rest assured that I will come here each trip I made to Langkawi.

Another view of the spagetthi.

We went to the loaf the next day too. We had lunch here. I took a few shots of the interior.

Another view.

I had chilli spagetthi with fresh prawns. The prawns are really fresh and sweet. A must try here.

Holiday Retreat @ Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia

Marina in front of Awana hotel.

Beach in front of Lighthouse Restaurant.

Another Awana Marina shot.

Sea / beach at Pulau Beras Basah (Wet Rice Island) about 15 mins off Langkawi main island. The sea water here is clear and the sand is so soft.

Lighthouse at Awana hotel.

V's and my footprint on the soft sand.

My shadow during sunset at the beach.

Lunch @ Kapitan Restaurant, Queensbay, Penang

Kapitan and Kayu are the two mamak "stall" I patron the most. I believe they have the best indian/malay food around. If you were to ask where is the best indian food I ever tasted, I have no doubt to tell you it is Tandoor.

My meal starts with a iced tea with milk.

V starts with iced lime drink.

Then we ordered the garlic butter naan. V noticed that from garlic naan -> butter naan -> garlic butter naan, we need to add 50 cents each.

Garlic butter naan after processed by V. Processed means tear down to small bite size pieces. I think she really has good potential as in be a mother.

While I ordered claypot chicken briyani rice. This dish takes a while to come. The chicken is really good. Perfectly cooked. However, I am a little disappointed on the briyani rice today. It is a little too wet. V suspected it was just cooked so still wet. It is still early noon, so that might be the reason.

See the perfectly BBQ chicken. Yummy.

The briyani rice. Prefer to be dryer. I guess next round I will come for dinner instead.

Last but not least, the mushroom masala. Good for sharing. You would probably unable to finish the gravy if it is 2 person only. So I just finish the mushrooms and onions.
