Long suspended home cooking post @ Home

My "Island Supreme" pizza prepared by V.
It is actually pita bread dough topped with sausage bits, crabstick chunk and tuna spread. Of course, with mozarella cheese as well.

Ta-da, homemade pizza.

Soy sauce steam fish. Not sure what fish is this.
It seems like a little overcooked or the fish too thick. Texture a little like cod fish but not as flaky.

The fish meat before cook.

Same fish meat. Kinda nice texture.

New plates and dish @ Home

Just bought some new plates. The usual dish looks much nicer on the new plates. :) On display here is the grill salmon again. I like salmon.
From empty plates, filling with potatoes and boiled brocolli, putting the big piece of lamb shoulder on the plate and ended up with two complete meals of salmon and lamb.

Grill chicken and salmon @ Home

Generous slice of norwaygian salmon pan grilled in teriyaki sauce topped with onions together with smash potatoes, french beans and lettuce. A perfect healthy meal for the day. One of my favourite home cook dish.

Drumstick de-boned pan grilled in oriental sauce with carrots and onions. This dish condiments are butter corn and lettuce with mayo. Best served with chilli sauce. I guess that's the way Malaysian eats their chicken chop. :)

Sherperd pie @ Home

Here is a post on sherperd pie which we made last month. Sherperd pie is relatively easy to be made as it doesn't involve the pastry. Pan fry the onions and sausages till lightly cooked. Pour in mushroom soup concentrate and add little bit of water. Continue to stir till boil then pour into the baking container.

Coat a layer of smashed potatoes on top of the soup. Here is a view just before putting into a convection oven.

Bake for an hour or till potatoes are lightly burned. Burned potatoes gives the extra crisps. Here is the sherperd pie. Beware of hot containers.

Chicken Bolognese Spagetthi @ Home

The results of chicken bolognese spagetthi. Yummy. Full of meat sauce unlike those out there.

Chicken bolognese main ingredients are carrots, onions, button mushroom and blended chicken meat. Oh, there is another ingredient which is not in the picture. It is TOMATO PUREE.

First, put in some oil into the pot. Heat up the oil then put onions into it. Add blended chicken meat into the pot after the onions. Stir while putting in mushroom and carrots. Subsequently, pour tomato puree into the pot.

Close the lid for about 2 hours or until the carrots are soft. Then serve with spagetthi or other pasta.

Typically we cook more sauce then put them into the freezer. When we want to eat spagetthi another day, just need to reheat the sauce in microwave oven. But make sure the sauce if cool before put into freezer else your fridge will spoil fast.

Home-cooked @ Home

Here is the preparation for black soy sauce chicken. Chop plenty of onions for the aroma and sweetness, carrots and potatoes according to taste. First, stir fry the onions until the onion become soft then add in the chicken parts. Subsequently add in carrots, potatoes and dried chillies. Add in soy sauce and a bit of water according to taste.

Stir the chicken from time to time while add in a bit of salt and pepper. Once all the ingredients well mixed, put on the lid to stew it. The end result is shown above. Tasty!

Second dish is soup. ABC soup which consist of chicken parts, baby carrots, tomatoes, carrots and potatoes. This is quite easy. Wait for the water to boil before putting all these ingredients into the pot. Add in salt and pepper seeds. Boil for two hours and you will get a nice soup.

Third dish is stir fry kangkung. Originally want to do kangkung belacan but don't have belacan. Hence cook stir fry kangkung with prawns and dried prawns. First, put in garlic and dried prawns and stir fry the garlic till golden brown. Put in the kangkung and a little bit of water. Continue to stir fry and add some soy sause as necessary. Fry until the kangkung shrinked then serve on the plate.

Home cooked meal. I kinda like these a lot probably I always eat out on weekdays.

Saturday lunch.. Home-cooking

Today the lunch were home-cooked. Mine is teriyaki grilled salmon with brocolli while V's are bean curd noodle with seafood taufu and crabstick. My grilled salmon is nice and in par with many restaurants. The fish quality is also top grade. It is purchased at fresh fish market section in Jusco. It is RM3.39 per 100g now for norwaygian trout salmon. Normal price is RM3.99 per 100g, so for those salmon lovers, grab it now.

No comment on bean curd noodle as I don't really like it and V loves it. So it is kinda hard to me to judge.

Teriyaki grilled salmon starts with maninating the salmon fish with teriyaki sauce. Pour generous portion of teriyaki sauce over the salmon and put it in the fridge (not freezer, prefer to be on the fish compartment). Followed by pealing and chopping onions as aroma enhancements. Put some oil onto the frying pan/pot, stir fry the onion for about 30 seconds, add in soy sauce as necessary. Pour more teriyaki sauce into the pan if you want to have some sauce. Place the salmon into frying pan and flip the fish from time to time till the fish is flaky. Once flaky, the salmon is cooked.

Below pic is what we consumed for lunch today. Salmon with brocolli, bean curd noodle with seafood taufu and crabsticks, last but not least is a glass of ice cold water.
