Day 13 1000 Island

On the last day of our tour we went to 1000 Island.

A boat ride around the island. There is planty of small island that is why it is named 1000 Island, but there is more than 1000 island now.

My dream house

A rich man house

Rich man with his dog fishing

This castle have a love story behind it. Similar to Kelly castle in Ipoh.

Boldt Castle was built by George C. Boldt for his wife, Louise. But his wife died and He never return back to the island. For more info you may google it. Good things always ends fast.....

Alster Tower, Boldt's playhouse

Power House and Clock Tower

After 1000 island, that end our journey for 3 days 2 nights.

Day 12 Corning Museum of Glass and Niagara Falls

The next day, we went to Corning Museum of Glass. It's a nice place to shop for plates but we can't possibly bring it back to Msia. Manage to buy one thing only. Will post it up later. There is show on how to make the wares too. Had lunch at the cafeteria.
There is a lot of nice stuff there.

Next is the highlight of the tour, Niagara Falls. The wind is so strong. Can't get close to capture as the small water drop will fog up the camera. There is a theater show about the falls too.

Opposite is Canada

I guess this is the bridge to Canada.

On the line to the ride Maid of the Mist

On the boat. All wet.

The journey takes a few hours. Most of the time we are on the bus. But the outside scenery is nice. Lucky got hubby to chat with and sleep. :)

Day 11 Philadelphia & Washington DC

Early morning took a train to chinatown to start our tour. Its a 3 days 2 nights to Philadelphia, Washington DC, Corning Museum of Glass, Niagara Falls and 1000 Islands. It cost USD165 per person. Buy 2 free 1 person. So it's kind worth the deal. It includes hotel and a few entrance fee for certain place. Breakfast provided by hotel, the rest of the meal is at own cost.

First stop is at Philadelphia. Tour guide said this is the first public toilet in the US. :) I used it.

Can't recall what building is this. But need to book a few months in advance to get the ticket.

Opposite is Liberty Bell. This help stuff is not working.

Tradition tells of a chime that changed the world on July 8, 1776, with the Liberty Bell ringing out from the tower of Independence Hall summoning the citizens of Philadelphia to hear the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence by Colonel John Nixon. Quoted from a website.

The next stop is at Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Boring place to me. A lot of air craft thingy.

So we got bored, we walk out .. to don't know what building is this.

The weather is much hotter in DC !

Next stop. Finally at the White House. Apparently the President is not in because there is not much guard on top of the roof. That's what the tour guide said.

Went for second Madame Tussaud but in Washington DC. Plenty of President mannequins.
D in 100 dollar. hehehe

The Kennedy

Opposite is a beautiful church

Next went to Jefferson Memorial

I think behind us is Korean War Memorial

Next we went to Lincoln Memorial

With such a hot weather finally reach the top of it. Remind me of Taiwan, a memorial for .. hmpp what's tht guy name.

That end our day. With a chinese dinner buffet. Yummy food. The hotel for the night in Maryland was great too.

Day 10 New York

Saturday - Went to Central Park for a little walk. The park is too big to walk and we're stingy to rent bike or sit something like trishaw. I think it cost around USD20 like that.

Opposite Central Park is a mall, where they have Whole Food

Bought another Ben&Jerry's again

Some dessert from Whole Food

This piece cost USD 26900. There are plenty of display in the malls for sale.

In the afternoon went and book a trip for 3 days 2 night to Niagara falls in Chinatown.

After that walk around, and stumbles upon Prospect Park. Nice place where can see some local acts. Not sure what building is this inside.
