Water theme photoshots @ Home

Water droplet shooting has been in Digital Camera magazine's taught technique for a couple of months. I tried it before in Ipoh but without much setup.

Today, I retried with wireless flash, camera on tripod and backdrop.

Started with brown box backdrop. I able to shoot some nice still shots but lack of the shot I wanted.

Switched to red paperbag backdrop. Results is much better.

The red colour being a little funny is due to compression software. I checked, the original shot don't have the problem.

About just nice.

Way too early but accidentally shot this big splash.

1st wave building up.

About right but not symmetrical.

Same problem.

Green apple from fruits coupon on self made white box.

Tried the orange too.

Apple and orange in a shot. Orange is taller, apple is fatter. Just crapping.

Banana bought from Jusco yesterday. Already turning black.

Aiks, so black already. Cut off the black area and still eat the white area.
Taste nice though.

Cu Cha Restaurant @ Jalan Alor, Kuala Lumpur

Cu Cha Restaurant located at Jalan Alor, a famous food haven in KL. Jalan Alor is right next to Jalan Bukit Bintang.

In Jalan Alor itself, it has many restaurant and hawker centre.

Actually Cu Cha is more like a hawker centre than a restaurant. However, you order those hawker food using a menu and the waiter/waitress will order the foods for you.


Nicely done menu with price.

V and I share this mango sago lolo. The mango tasted good. Mango sliced so thin, the sifu must be very talented and his/her knife is sharp.

V's favourite food. KL style hokkien char.
She will not leave KL without this. :)

A rather different Fried Oyster with egg compared to Penang's and most places in KL.
This oyster egg dish, the egg is fried till crips then topped with oyster.

I like the egg this way. Give it a try.

Just try a grill stingray. Good but apparently we ordered too much. Taste better than Penang's.

Barbeque chicken wing. Most lousy dish for the day.
Not recommended.

Mantis prawn cooked with salted egg yoke. Saliva dripping.. Eyes drooling.
Very very nice. Definitely recommended.
However, order if you have 3-4 person if possible. The serving a little large for 2.

Ying Yeong (hor fun mixed with deep fried beehoon). Taste so so.

Chocolate & Chocolate Alone @ Godiva, Pavillion, KL

Godiva Chocolatier. Serving Belgium chocolate. Since 1926.

Godiva chocolate drink. Ordered Dark Chocolate Decadence but when the drink come, it appears to have a slight mint taste. Decadence has a little mint or wrongly delivered?

The chocolate drink. Many bloggers has been saying it is so so good. But I would say it is just a little better than Starbuck's Java Chip. Looking at the price and Starbucks giving bigger cup.
If I were to choose, I probably go for Starbucks.

This cake is totally different. This is the best chocolate cake I tasted. No match from secret recipe or even equatorial. Highly recommended for the cake.
They only serve one type of cake, so no way you can get it wrong.
~RM 15 for cake.

Dinner get together with dad @ 李雄记, Sungai Buloh, Selangor

This restaurant has many sauces and condiments to choose from.
Top left is ginger to be eaten with steamed chicken, top right is duck sauce and bottom is lemon sauce.

Red chillies, green chillies and garlic. Plenty of them.

李雄记's chef is the winner of a cooking competition in Beijing.
As you can see, it is full.

So many people and some standing awaiting for table.

Dad ordered this paku pakis vege cooked in thai style. A cold vege dish with a twist of lime.

Stir fry lala (clam). Notice that only the meat side of lala shell on the plate?
The workers here removed the other half.

Stir fry kailan. Very fresh and crunchy.

Signature roast duck mixed with stream chicken. This dish is very nice.

Grouper fish deep fried then topped with tomato sauce. This dish so-so only.

Free fruits, water melon in this case as dessert.

李雄记 is located in Sungai Buloh factory area.

Old Favourite Revisit, Lunch @ Pizza Uno, Centrepoint, Bandar Utama, Selangor

I was coughing and still coughing now. Hence ordered the hot chocolate drink.

Nice fern coffee art made from chocolate syrup.

Never leave Uno without best in town marinara white spagetthi.

Gigantic prawns which is almost twice the size of a table spoon.

Old favourite: Pollo lasagne.

Each mouth is a mouthful of cheese, pasta sheet, minced chicken and mushrooms.

This is my 1st time eating cake in Uno. Looks nicer than it taste.
I didn't mean it doesnt taste good. It is good but looks is nicer.

Uno word printed on the cake using cocoa powder.

There are two branches of Uno.
One located at Centrepoint, Bandar Utama.
Another at Taipan, UEP Subang Jaya.
