Mizi Bistro @ New World Park, Penang

New world park is a hot place for many penangites especially younger generation. It is like Mont Kiara in KL. Here there is a bistro named Mizi. It serves western and italian food. This is my first visit.

Environment set for youthful feel. It is an bistro afterall. It is air-conditioned although the fan is spinning. There is a crowd too. So be prepared to wait for a while for seats if you come during the weekends.

The bread is bad. It is free though, if it can be rebated, go ahead and cut it off your bills. Here are two soups, one is mushroom and another is cream of chicken. There are two tiny "chunks" of chicken in the soup. One of them pictured here. Soup is okay, not bad.

Here comes the main dish. Club sandwich and fettucine marinara alfredo. The sandwich is ultra long, so many slices of bread. I didn't taste it but from V's feedback it is okay. She said it is worth it.

My fettucine marinara alfredo, fettucine noodle of seafood (squid, fish, mussel and prawn) in white garlic cream sauce tasted okay too. However, the fish doesnt taste fresh. I am very particular on fish, so don't listen to me fully. The unfreshness of the fish can be covered by the white cream sauce. Mussel given wasn't the mussel which came with shells too, it tasted like dried mussel (losses it's texture) although I think it is fresh mussel.

It is hard to recommend this dish to hardcore italian food lover but it can be tried for those casual eater. The price is reasonable hence don't expect superior quality. Still the alfredo king in my heart didn't change for a while... it remains as Marinara White of Pizza Uno.

The meal for one cost RM19.90 without tax. It is actually a set meal which consist of drinks, soup, main course and desserts. Dessert is free flow ice cream.
